From 13-17 February a Holland High Tech trade delegation will visit Japan. The Dutch delegation with a focus on nanotechnology will be present at the international Nano Tech Expo 2017 in Tokio and get introduced to Japanese companies, investors and press at the Dutch embassy. The delegation comprises 14 organisations and companies, all active within innovative nanotechnology and/or nanotechnology research. In total 25 participants have joined the Holland High Tech Japan trade mission. The main exhibitors and organisers are NanoNextNL, Holst Centre and TNO.

Business introductions for start-ups
This Holland High Tech Japan trade mission is co-organised by Innovatie Attaché Netwerk in Tokio. At the Dutch embassy 12 nanotechnology start-ups from Holland receive introductions to Japanese companies, investors and press. These start-ups mainly emanated from NanoNextNL, being the business result from the collaboration between government and industry. By joining this trade mission these start-ups benefit from excellent networking opportunities, such as the international Nano Tech Expo with over 50.000 visitors and receiving arranged business introductions at the Dutch embassy in Tokio. The Holland Pavilion at the Nano Tech Expo 2017 will be visited by some VIPs, such as the Dutch ambassador in Japan, Mr. Aart Jacobi and the deputy director at the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, Mr. Jasper Wesseling.
A global position in nanotechnology
The trade mission aims to present the Netherlands as a global nanotechnology player, being the result of a close collaboration between government, industry and education. These last years the Netherlands has invested heavily in developing a leading global position in nanotechnology.
