In collaboration with a number of SMEs and other partners, the objective is to develop a portable demonstrator that enables rapid, easy, multiplexed detection of antibiotics, such as tetracycline in milk, based on a multi-channel photonic
sensor principle. This will be achieved by the integration of existing innovative technologies such as lab-on-a-chip, microfluidics, inkjet printing and integrated photonics sensors.
This demonstrator will be a first step towards a handheld device that can be used for detection on site, such as on the farm and the milk factories.
