NanoNextNL Valorisation programme

The NanoNextNL Valorisation Programme is set up for business cases that originated from the projects of the NanoNextNL research programme. These projects obtain supplementary financial support and practical assistance with regard to working out the business case in more detail.

The aim of the Valorisation Programme was to improve the business focus of the innovation programme NanoNextNL. The programme ran until 31 December 2016. The initial budget for the Valorisation Programme was 4 million euros which was divided into 3 calls.

First call NanoNextNL Valorisation Programme

The first call was opened in August 2014 and closed in May 2015. Participants were eligible for a maximum contribution of 25,000 euro in business support and 125,000 euro in direct subsidy, per business case. Recipients are required to match this financial support with a maximum of 125,000 euro per business case in kind or in cash.

Second call NanoNextNL Valorisation Programme

The second call was open from June 2015 up until 31 August 2015. Participants were eligible for a maximum contribution of 15,000 euro in business support and 100,000 euro in direct subsidy, per business case. The same matching requirements as the first call, applied.

Third call NanoNextNL Valorisation Programme

The third call is open from April 2016 up until October 2016 and is dubbed Business Case Support. Participants are eligible for a maximum contribution of 15,000 euro per business case and this can be assigned to a partner involved in NanoNextNL who has at least signed one Programme Consortium Agreement. Registration for eligible business cases is open from 1 April until 31 August 2016.

Quality and review business cases

The quality of the business cases is assessed by using business tools such as the Lean Business Model Canvas and the Golden Egg Check method. Business cases are reviewed by an internal Valorisation Committee and an external Business Council, appointed by the Executive Board of NanoNextNL. The final decision concerning the allocation of funds, lies with Executive Board.
